William Shakespeare / Conan O'Brien
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st;
Nor shall death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
When with eternal views through time thou grow’st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this website, and this website gives life to thee.
William Shakespeare, Sonnet 18

When he was a young boy his mother and sister baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies. After they were done baking, they left the cookies out to cool and ran some errands. When they returned, young George had eaten the entire batch of cookies. Some fifty years later, his mother still recalled the incident with a chuckle.
When he was a very young boy, his mother took him to an office building in downtown Manhattan. Upon entering the elevator, which was being operated by a black elevator operator, young George declaimed, "Mommy, look at the chocolate man!" His mother was abashed; the elevator operator merely smiled.

Rita was born in Georgia but lived all over the world as a military brat and then later as a wife and mother. For over 50 years, her home has been Northglenn, Colorado, where she raised her children and actively participated in the lives of her grandchildren. Rita was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a homemaker, and most notably, a ballroom dancer.
She is survived by her three children: Chris, Sheri, and Shannon; her four grandchildren: Josh, Kayla, Andrea, and Gavin; and her great grandchildren: Aiden, Sam, Trinity, Skylar, Aubree, and Bentley. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Wesley Cook. Five days prior to Rita's death, she quietly celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary; now she can celebrate with him in Heaven.
Rita will be remembered by her family in a private memorial at Red Feather Lakes where she will join her husband Wesley in his final resting place. Please do not send flowers. Memorial contributions to the Colorado Humane Society & SPCA can be made in Rita's name at: https://coloradohumane.org/donate/ Thank you for all of the calls, visits, and love.Please continue to share stories about Rita with her children and with each other so she will never be forgotten.
