The census shows (beginning on the last line) that G. A. Greenslade, age 73, was the married head of a household that included (1) his wife Eva J. Geenslade, age 58, (2) his son Robert, age 41, a mechanical engineer, (3) his daughter Carolina, age 25, a stenographer, and (4) his daughter Georgiana, age 20, a stenographer.

The article reads as follows:
A Solemn Mass of Requiem will be said for George A Greenslade, at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church Wednesday at 9:30 with the Rev. Eugene T. Stout officiating.
Mr. Greenslade, who was 82, died yesterday morning at his home on Hammond Street after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Eva J. Greenslade who died December 20, 1946.
He came to Salisbury 17 years ago from Banes, Cuba, after retiring as superintendent of railroads with the United Fruit Company. He worked on the Panama Canal as superintendent of construction, later being engaged in railroad construction work in South America.
Surviving are four sons, Robert, of Salisbury; John, of Atlanta, Ga., James and Richard Greenslade of New York City; four daughters, Mrs. E.S. Towery, Concord, N.C.; Mrs. O.C. Burnett, Atlanta, Ga. and Carolina and Georgiana of Salisbury. A son, William, died in 1924.
He also leaves two sisters living n England as well as 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Interment will be made in Wicomico Memorial Park.

Greenslade died as his home on Hammond St. Sunday after a long illness. Friends may call at his late home tonight.
