Letter dated January 3, 1944 from Carolina Virginia Greenslade to Robert W. Greenslade and sent by V-Mail

Text of the letter reads as follows:

Dear Bob,
Just finished writing you two letters about Mom's condition. We have all been thinking a lot about you, and hope you are safe and well. We are anxious to hear from you and Mom is so anxious to have word from you. Received the box you sent. Lois and Jack called on Christmas Day and talked about 20 minutes. Mary and Jim called on New Year's Day. We spent a very quiet Christmas. Everybody has been so good to us since Mom's illness. We have your Christmas present, but are waiting to hear from you before sending it. If there is anything special you want us to send let us know and will be glad to do so. If you are where we think you are, Aunt Bessie's address is: Mrs. Fred Steer, 12 Kimberly Terrace, Northam, North Devon, England. Uncle Fred Steer died on November 25th. We hope to hear from you very soon. We all send our love and our best to you. Take good care of yourself. Lots of love.
Your loving sister, Carolina
